  • Contraindications

    Do not take Glutril M if:

    - You are allergic to metformin hydrochloride, glimepiride, other sulfonylureas and sulfonamides, or to any of the other ingredients in this medication (see the “COMPOSITION” section of the package insert).

    - You are pregnant or breastfeeding.

    - You have any form of acute metabolic acidosis (such as lactic acidosis, diabetic ketoacidosis, or diabetic precoma).

    - You have severe renal impairment (eGFR < 30 mL/min).

    - You are dehydrated.

    - You have a serious infection.

    - You are in shock.

    - In cases of intravascular administration of iodinated contrast media (see Precautions).

    - You have an acute or chronic condition that may cause tissue hypoxia, such as:

    - Heart or respiratory failure,

    - Myocardial infarction,

    - Liver failure,

    - Acute alcohol intoxication or alcoholism.
