Clomipramine hydrochloride

Treatment of mild, moderate, or severe depressive episodes, certain behavioral disorders, and nocturnal enuresis in children, provided that any organic disease has been ruled out

  • Contraindications

    Never take LIPRA in the following cases:

    • Known allergy to clomipramine or any of the other ingredients in this medication (see the “COMPOSITION” section of the package insert).

    • Known risk of angle-closure glaucoma (increased pressure inside the eye).

    • Difficulty urinating due to prostate problems or other causes.

    • Recent myocardial infarction.

    • Concomitant use with another antidepressant (iproniazid, nialamide) or with sultopride.

    This medication SHOULD GENERALLY NOT BE USED in the following cases, unless otherwise advised by your doctor:

    • In combination with alcohol or medications containing alcohol.

    • Treatment with another antidepressant (moclobemide, toloxatone) or with medications that affect the cardiovascular system (clonidine, guanfacine, and, when administered by injection: epinephrine, norepinephrine, dopamine), linezolid (antibiotic).
